Who is responsible
The controller of the data processed through this website is Julien DE MARCHI EI, trading as Purple-Galaxy (games brand: Purple-Galaxy Studio), 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France. Contact: support@purple-galaxy.com.
This policy covers the website purple-galaxy.studio only. Each of our games has its own privacy policy on its website:
- Stellar Frontier: stellarfrontier.purple-galaxy.studio/privacy
- Jack Decode: jackdecode.purple-galaxy.studio/privacy
No cookies, no third parties
- No cookies. The only thing this site may ever store in your browser is your choice to switch statistics off, and only if you make that choice.
- No advertising, no social media widgets, no embedded videos or maps.
- No third-party requests: fonts, images and statistics all come from our own servers.
- The hidden games on this site run entirely in your browser. Whether you find them is counted like any other click (see below); nothing else about them is stored or sent.
Audience statistics
To learn which pages and games interest visitors, we use Umami, an open-source statistics tool running on our own server (analytics.purple-galaxy.com). Nothing is passed to anyone else.
- What is counted: the pages viewed, the website you came from, browser, operating system, type of device, screen size, language, and country (worked out from your IP address, which is then discarded). Also a few anonymous actions: clicks to our game sites, press kit, playtest and contact links, language changes, news filters and shares, how far down the home page visitors go, news posts read to the end, screenshots opened and easter eggs found.
- How: Umami sets no cookie and does not store your IP address. To count unique visitors it uses a one-way code computed from your IP address and browser and renewed every month, which cannot be traced back to you. We only ever see aggregated totals.
- Never: no advertising, no profiling, nothing typed into the site, nothing that tells us who you are.
- Kept for up to 25 months, then deleted.
- Your choice: if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is counted. You can also switch the statistics off for this browser at the bottom of this page.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the audience of our own website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Umami stores nothing on your device (it only checks whether you switched statistics off), so no consent banner is needed.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records technical access logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, response code, referring page and browser type. We use them only to keep the site secure and working (for example to block attacks). They are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you email us
The site has no forms. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and we keep the exchange as long as needed to follow up on it (at most 3 years after our last exchange, unless the law requires longer). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or the steps needed before a contract if you write about business.
Links to other sites
Links to our game sites, Purple-Galaxy Software, app stores and social networks open those sites, which have their own privacy policies. Share links on news posts are plain links: nothing is sent to those services unless you click.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to support@purple-galaxy.com. We answer within one month.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority, in France the CNIL, in Switzerland the FDPIC.
Changes to this policy
If the website starts handling data differently, we will update this page first. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Your choice: audience statistics
You can switch the statistics off for your browser on this page once JavaScript is enabled, or turn on your browser's Do Not Track setting: our statistics respect it.
